BelleStyle's Cali-Tai Cleanse Salad
You will need:
1 head of Napa cabbage
1 red onion (diced)
1/2 cup American or French feta chesse (diced)
1 Italian sweet red pepper
1 can of chic peas (rinsed, drained)
1/4 cup of golden flax seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup of tai noodles (cooked for 4 minutes al dente)
1/2 cup fresh parsley
2-4 picnches of OMG herbs mixture
sea salt (to taste)
fresh cracked pepper (to taste)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup rice vinegar
What's a party without a homemade cleanse salad that your guest will gladly eat and not feel guilty about? Try this fresh, light and year round recipe as a welcome addition to any themed party. Its fast to prep about 30 minutes, and the napa cabbage keeps well in the refrigerator for a few days (if there's ever any left!) Cabbage is a natural cleanse, but adding the flax and sunflower seeds really helps this dish be heart healthy and waist line ready.
Prep all ingredients, clean, dice and cut as small as you like. The smaller cut the better, it makes the presentation beautiful all the different colors in the dish.
Add cabbage, onion, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, italian red pepper, parsely, chic peas, feta, herbs and noodles on top. Add olive oil, rice vinegar, sea salt and pepper and toss well. Add lemon to taste at end for a fresh zing! Toss and serve.
